Will you help your client with ideas for what would look best on their furniture? (ie. color selection, hardware, accents)

We do offer optional design services to assist our clients. From help picking out the paint/stain colors, to whether or not the hardware should be updated... we're here to help our clients create a design that complements their aesthetic. Our go to paint is Benjamin Moore but we also work with other specialty paints for achieving specific finishes.

-
What is your process for refinishing?
-
It's a lot but briefly put, each piece gets cleaned and thoroughly prepped prior to even opening a can of paint. We inspect for any repairs that are needed, tighten old loose screws and even repair old wood runners. The list goes on. Proper prep is the most important aspeft for a long-lasting, durable finish. Each piece requires 3-4 coats of paint, depending on the color. Or 1-2 coats of stain, depending on the project. We then seal our pieces with wax or polyurethane. It’s much more than “a coat of paint” over here!

-
How long will it take to refinish my piece?
-
Our turn around time averages 4-6 weeks from the day of drop off. Sometimes sooner, sometimes a little longer. We can work with specific deadlines to make sure your project is back to you by a certain date if needed.

Otherwise, we ask that you use our online inquiry form to submit a project or email us and include photos. All deliveries to our shop must be scheduled in advance. We no longer operate our own retail location. Our vintage curations and refinished furniture can be found at Nicolette's for the Home in Southold and check out Instagram for random finds! What is the payment process for custom refinishing and restoration?
-
We require a deposit to be paid in order to secure your spot on the schedule. Without a deposit, your project is not scheduled and failure to pay the deposit may result in a delayed start date. We do our best to break payments up into three - deposit, one at drop off and the balance due upon completion. The balance must be paid by the pick up date. We are flexible and opening to working things out so don't hestiate to reach out!
