One-on-One Furniture Refinishing Workshop

After 18 years of refinishing and restoring furniture, we're finally offering something that we've been asked about for years — hands-on, one-on-one refinishing workshops. This isn’t a group class or lecture; no folding chairs or powerpoints. It’s just you and me (Heather), in our workshop, working side-by-side on real furniture.

You’ll get up to eight hours of personalized instruction spread over four weeks — learning the exact process we use in our shop every day to bring vintage and antique pieces back to life.

What You’ll Learn

Over the course of 8 hours (four 2-hour sessions), you’ll work on your own small piece (like a nightstand or side table) and learn how to:

  • Prep properly for painting; stained top surfaces included (not a restoration course)

  • Choose and apply the right products; make cosmetic repairs before paint

  • Sand, seal, and finish your piece with confidence

  • Troubleshoot common mistakes

  • How to pick a color

  • Update hardware if desired

  • Work efficiently with professional tools and techniques

I’ll be working on a piece alongside you so you can see each step in action — with guidance the whole way.
