Hi all! If you're looking for something to read or a little background on who we are, you've come to the right place! In The Attic Too is a family owned and operated business on the North Fork of Long Island - - which happens to be a beautiful place.

My name is Heather and I am a co-owner of In The Attic Too, partnered up with my dad, Dan. I joined the team full time in 2018 but we've been going since long before then. Back in 2006, my dad retired from his long time career and building birdhouses in the garage using scrapped and found items became his hobby. Which grew into him and my mom (Sue) painting furniture and just having some fun being creative! That grew into a small family owned business in Speonk, NY (the birth of In The Attic Too) with the help of my dads sisters.

A few years later, they outgrew that space and while visiting family on the North Fork one day, my dad spotted the perfect building located in Laurel. This soon became the official In The Attic Too sometime in 2011... no dream too big. Dan, Sue and Donna (Dan's sister) with the occasional help from myself or family friends, started refinishing furniture and building the family business on the North Fork.

In 2016, we opened our second location in Jamesport known as "the Red Salvage Barn". Here we expanded upon what we do and started salvaging reclaimed lumber and architectural salvage from old buildings that need to come down. We then turn those materials into one-of-a kind custom built pieces of furniture and home decor for our clients - you dream it, we build it.

In 2018, I decided to join the family business full time at our Laurel location. I've always loved refinishing furniture and learned to run this portion of the family business. Since then, we have truly outgrown ourselves at both locations. So during 2020, we decided to merge the two locations and move to Peconic.

Now we can all be found at 41965 Main Road, Peconic NY... next door to Greenport Harbor Brewing Company. Our salvage yard full of reclaimed lumber and architectural salvage out back with tents full of goodies and our retail store is here too! Find finished furniture, old furniture, home decor, handpainted signs, and our soy candles... plus some other fun goodies.

Our paint work shop, wood work shop, candle shop and more is located at this location as well!
